The Sanying MRT Line passes through Tucheng, Sanxia, and Yingge Districts, each anchored by distinctive secondary or tertiary sectors, such as indigo dyeing and tea production in Sanxia District, and ceramic production in Yingge District, which together foster a rich cultural heritage. The project site, located in Sanxia District, occupies a strategically significant transitional position between these districts. With production activities in Sanxia and Yingge Districts closely integrated with tourism, the region offers strong potential for coordinated development. By enhancing streetscape circulation around the station and refining local cultural characteristics, this project aims to transform the urban image, attract professional talent, improve residential quality, and strengthen community public services.
LB07 National Taipei University Metro Station serves as the primary gateway to Sanxia District and carries strong gateway symbolism. The station features two entrances on the north and south sides. This project concerns Exit 2 on the south side, located at the intersection of Fuxing Road and Dayong Road, within the established urban core of Sanxia. The site is approximately 720 meters from the landmark Sanxia Old Street and directly faces the NTPU Special District. To the east and south, it connects seamlessly with the historic settlement around Sanxia Old Street, to the west, it links to National Highway No. 3, providing regional and intercity access. The surrounding area offers comprehensive amenities, including the Sanying Civil Sports Center and En Chu Kong Hospital, along with abundant educational resources, such as National Taipei University, Sanxia Junior High School, and Sanxia Elementary School. Cultural and tourism assets, including the Li Mei-shu Memorial Gallery, Sanxia Zushi Temple, and the Yingge Ceramics Museum, further enrich the district. Given its strategic location, the station will serve as a major intermodal transfer hub for residents, NTPU faculty and students, and visitors from outside the region.
Additionally, National Taipei University plans to construct a second campus entrance on the north side of the site in coordination with the Sanying MRT Line, alongside the new LB07 Building. This facility will integrate exhibition spaces, retail functions, and direct connections to the MRT, positioning National Taipei University Metro Station as a key gateway to the campus once the line becomes operational.
The project site is designated as the MRT development site adjacent to Exit 2 on the south side of LB07 National Taipei University Metro Station along the Sanying MRT Line. The site covers 5,916.99 square meters, or approximately 1,790 tsubo, and is bounded by roads on three sides, including Fuxing Road to the north with a width of 30 meters, Dayong Road to the west with a width of 12 meters, and Lane 237 of Fuxing Road to the east.

This project is envisioned as a catalyst for urban development in Sanxia District, guided by three core planning principles: creating a livable environment for young residents, embedding local culture, and fostering sustainable future growth.
Leveraging MRT connectivity, cultural interaction, and vibrant pedestrian hubs, the Sanxia-Sanying Living Circle will be seamlessly integrated, forming a path toward sustainable future growth.
Historically, this triangular plain, shaped by the Dahan, Sanxia, and Hengxi Rivers, along with three major local industries, defined the distinctive character of Sanxia District. Today, three new forces will bring renewed vitality, positioning the site, named "New San Jiao Yong Cheng", as a dynamic hub where the lives and activities of young people converge.
